I have seen the korean original version of it a couple of times, and it still keeps me chuckling and laughing all over. It’s about a guy who happen to meet a drunk girl who would change his life forever. It’s actually base on a true story although in real life, they didn’t end up being together. The guy, blog about the girl on the internet, and film producer saw his blog and offered to make a film out of it.

korean version
The film has been a wild success in Korea, it has even been played in the other countries with their own dubbed version, which also made a hit.
The movie has been divided to two parts (but would also flash a final part). First when Gyeon-woo is showing standing under a tree, telling that he’s supposed to meet the girl who changed his life but didn’t show up, but he’s still going to wait. After that scene, it would show flashbacks about his life and how the two met.
Part 2 shows the dramatic side of the movie, how the two developed their love for each other but never said anything about it, ’til one day, they have to drift apart due to the girl’s father not approved of their relationship. Also this is where the part will show why the girl is acting vicious and sassy. This is the part that will show why Gyeon-woo is waiting under a tree. Final part would show both of ‘em wearing their student uniforms, ready to party.
I give it 5 stars for the storyline and the portrayal. It’s definitely worth watching.

american
Inserted is the poster of the american version of the movie which stars, Jesse Bradford and Elisha Cuthbert. Names were changed, but most of the scenes were adapt from the original, such as the train incident, the piano playing canon in d, and lastly the “auntie” in the restaurant talking to the sassy girl.
Due to the familiar storyline and the portrayal of Elisha Cuthbert (looking trying hard to imitate the original actress), it’s like the feeling is really not there, it’s better to just stuck watching the original over and over instead of wasting your time watching the english version. Never the less Jesse Bradford, was great doing comedy stuff for the movie.
I give it 2 and a half stars.
I could be wrong, it’s just my review, watch it and compare both.
Happy viewing. =)
